AWARDS GALA AND 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Dinner Chair Reggie Van Lee will host the 2007 Choose Life Awards gala on this evening, which also marked the 20th anniversary of the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS, Inc.  Honorees are Susan Taylor of Essence magazine; Rory Kennedy of Moxie Firecracker Films; director, producer and actor Bill Duke, founder Duke media;  Robert Mosbacher, Jr. of OPIC; OraSure Technologies; and Gilead Sciences. Vice Chairs Debra L. Lee (BET) and Pamela Joyner (Avid Partners) was joined by other Honorary Chairs Rev. Dr. Calvin O. Butts, III and Dennis deLeon. Presenters include Maurice DuBois and Dana Tyler of WCBS-TV, Maurice DuBois, CBS2, Lori Stokes, ABC7, Dana Tyler, CBS2 and David Ushery, NBC4.
