NBLCA AFFILIATES

The mission of the Black Leadership
Commission on AIDS Affiliates is to mobilize and
educate African-American leaders in their respective
City to respond to HIV/AIDS and public health, to
enhance the African-American communities’ access
wherever public policy is deliberated and resources are
allocated, and to serve as advocates and provide support
to frontline agencies in their daily war on AIDS in
their communities. Through their leadership, the
Affiliates will work to ensure the equitable allocation
of resources for the African American community and to
enhance the capacity of local direct service
organizations. The Affiliates will develop plans
together and engage in joint advocacy at all levels of
government to protect and strengthen the public health
and disease prevention efforts of the their City.
