The Aenon Church Family and Pastor Cherry together has received the Urban League
Membership Drive of Rochester from 1984 – 1994 consecutively for registering the
highest number of people in the Urban League of Rochester, Membership Drive.
With all of his achievements, accomplishments, and involvement, Reverend James
Lee Cherry, Sr. is most proud of the fact that he is the Pastor of the Aenon
Baptist Church since his arrival in Rochester , New York in 1981. He rejoices
in the certainty that he is a product of the “Saving Grace of Jesus Christ our
Lord”. And as Paul told Timothy, “He Thanks Christ Jesus Our Lord For (1)
Enabling him, (2) Counting him Faithful, (3) Placing him in the ministry”.
(I Timothy 1:12)
