The Kente Ribbon portrays the royal
African cloth worn by our ancestors, combined with the
world recognized red symbol of compassion for people
with HIV/AIDS, a commitment to their care, and a cure.
The ribbon symbolizes our commitment to preserve lives
through increased culturally competent and sensitive
HIV/AIDS prevention and education efforts for
communities of African descent.
Please wear our ribbon in
support of the NBLCA’s efforts to help reduce the high
incidence of HIV/AIDS in communities
of African descent.
